The multimedia park "Russia — My History. Sverdlovsk Oblast" is a modern complex where anyone can learn about the history of Russia from ancient times to the present. The Park employs contemporary technologies and approaches that help tell the stories of heroes and events in a vivid and engaging way, revealing links between eras, cultures, and people’s fates while preserving historical accuracy. The exhibitions use a variety of multimedia formats: holographic theaters, interactive Looking Glass 3D displays, animated books, Kinects, touch tables and projections, headphones and directional speakers, tablets, and lightboxes. History comes to life through full-scale sets, motion-capture technologies, 3D reconstructions, animation, and films. The park’s creators—historians, artists, filmmakers, designers, and computer graphics specialists—have done everything to transform Russian history from a black-and-white textbook into a bright, entertaining, yet objective narrative. The multimedia park’s exhibitions are regularly updated, and specialists develop new historical projects so that every visitor feels connected to the events of their country’s more-than-thousand-year history.
