About exhibition
Art from Imperial Russia to the present is presented in the exhibition “Russian Art of the 18th–20th Centuries.” Visitors will see more than 300 works by outstanding classics of Russian painting and by prominent masters of the Russian avant-garde. The exhibition “Art of the 1910s–1960s” continues the display of the classical artistic heritage of the 18th to the early 20th centuries. The vibrant artistic process of the first half of the last century — from the Russian avant-garde to the Severe Style — is represented by works of leading masters held in the collection of the Yaroslavl Art Museum. The exhibition “Realism. We Study, We Work, We Rest” features works by Soviet artists of the 1930s–1970s — members of the Union of Artists of the USSR. The exhibition includes works devoted to the themes of labor, study and leisure, united by a realistic manner of execution.
