Visitors can see 12 permanent exhibitions dedicated to the nature, history, ethnography, archaeology and culture of Khabarovsk Krai, as well as federal and regional exhibitions. 'Nature of Khabarovsk Krai' – a physico-geographical overview, geology, and the region's plant and animal life; 'Amur Museum' – the flora and fauna of the Amur River basin; 'Traditional Culture of the Indigenous Peoples of Khabarovsk Krai' – ethnography of the eight indigenous small-numbered peoples living in Khabarovsk Krai; 'Russia's development of the Priamurye region' – the activities of the Governor-General of Eastern Siberia N. N. Muravyov-Amursky and his associates in establishing Russia's state border in the Far East; 'Military Conflicts and the Civil War in the Far East' and the panorama 'Battle of Volochayevka' – the panorama's subject is based on the events of 10–12 February 1922: the height of the Battle of Volochayevka; 'Khabarovsk Krai 1923–1953' – the early 1920s in the Far East are associated with the establishment of new governing institutions, economic recovery and the creation of conditions for further development; 'Development of Khabarovsk Krai 1953–1992'; open-air exhibits – 'Stone Garden', 'Gun Battery', 'Alley of Park Sculpture'; fin whale skeleton.
