At the Glazov Local History Museum you can visit the following permanent exhibitions: 'Historic Glazov' – consisting of archaeological, ethnographic and historical sections covering the period from the 9th–13th centuries to the beginning of the 20th century. 'In the town entrusted to me, Glazov...' – about the life and service in Glazov of the town governor P. F. Chaikovsky, the grandfather of the composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, who 'brought' his family to Udmurtia. 'Theatre Gave Me Life' is dedicated to a native of Glazov — the great 20th-century actress who was among the founders of the Moscow Art Theatre, friend and wife of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov — Olga Leonardovna Knipper-Chekhova. The museum also hosts more than 40 temporary exhibitions throughout the year. Prior arrangement and booking are required.
