About exhibition
The ticket grants access to all exhibition halls located in the building of the former Prisutstvennye Places, an architectural monument of the 18th–19th centuries in the very heart of the Novgorod Kremlin. The exhibition "History of Novgorod and the Novgorod Region from Ancient Times to the 17th Century" features archaeological finds, household items, weaponry, rare documents and other evidence of the region's rich history. The exhibition "Russian Icons of the 11th–19th Centuries" showcases unique examples of Old Russian painting, including icons from St. Sophia Cathedral and works by Novgorod, Moscow and Pskov masters. In addition, visitors can see temporary exhibitions dedicated to archaeology, art, culture and rare museum collections. The exhibitions will be of interest to adults, schoolchildren, students and anyone interested in the history and culture of Russia.
