Exhibitions of the Main Building of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Gallery of Contemporary Art

The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the largest regional art museums in Russia. The museum comprises three sites: the Main Building, the Gallery of Contemporary Art, and the Khazine art gallery. The ticket entitles the holder to visit the Main Building and the Gallery of Contemporary Art (excluding the exhibition "Marc Chagall. Under One Sky"). The Main Building's collection includes monuments of Old Russian icon painting from the 16th century, and works of Russian painting of the 18th–19th centuries (D. G. Levitsky, V. L. Borovikovsky, F. S. Rokotov, V. A. Tropinin, I. K. Aivazovsky, I. I. Levitan, V. A. Serov, K. A. Korovin, I. E. Repin, I. I. Shishkin, etc.). The Gallery of Contemporary Art is the largest exhibition venue in Kazan specializing in contemporary art. Visitors can access exhibition spaces and a lecture hall where contemporary art classes are regularly held. The ticket must be shown at the box office of each building; it is valid for two weeks.
