The Museum of the History of the Far East is named after Vladimir Klavdievich Arsenyev, an outstanding scholar and traveler. The main building is located in the historic center of the city, in a building that is an architectural monument of the early 20th century. Here visitors can see archaeological finds, collections of the natural and cultural heritage of Primorsky Krai, ethnographic collections revealing the secrets of the lives of the small peoples of the Far East, as well as exhibits dedicated to military, social, and political events and phenomena at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries in the region.
