In the halls you can view the exhibition "Leafing Through the Book of Memory", which tells about the life of Berdsk and its residents during the Great Patriotic War, and three temporary exhibitions: "Berdsk of the Soviet Period. 1917–1957." The period covered by the exhibition begins with the epochal change of the political system and the shift onto the rails of "building communism" and ends with the preparation of Berdsk for flooding. "In the beginning there was work." "The Gorokhovs are the ones who built Berdsk," said historian Gennady Antonovich Nozdrin. At the end of the 19th century a settlement appeared in the village of Berdsk, which people called Gorokhovsky — after the owner of the mill, first-guild Tomsk merchant Vladimir Gorokhov. Vladimir Alexandrovich was among the wealthiest people in the province. The exhibition includes materials on the merchant's activities. "Once Upon a Time the People of Berdsk" is a collection of interior and household items from various social strata of Berdsk from the late 18th to the mid-20th century. More details on the website.
