Exhibitions of the Yaroslavl Museum-Reserve
About exhibition
The Yaroslavl Museum-Reserve is one of the largest cultural institutions and tourist attractions in Yaroslavl. Since 1959 the museum-reserve has been located in the very center of the city, on the grounds of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky (Transfiguration) Monastery, which was abolished in 1787. A combined ticket for visiting the museum allows visitors to put together a full-day cultural program. Guests can visit permanent and temporary exhibitions, for example: "History of the Yaroslavl Region" + "YarManka" – visitors will learn about the main stages in the history of the Yaroslavl region: from the founding of the city to the establishment of Yaroslavl Governorate; "The Tale of Igor's Campaign" – an exhibition dedicated to the unique 12th-century literary monument.
