Exhibition 'The Bourgeois Administration Building'
About exhibition
The exhibition is presented in six halls, three of which are dedicated to the life and work of A. Koltsov. They introduce the poet's childhood and youth, the development of his creative path, and his meetings with A. Pushkin in Saint Petersburg and with V. Zhukovsky in Voronezh. Visitors can see a signed edition of Koltsov published during his lifetime, sheet music, rare 19th-century manuscripts, and visit the memorial study of the writer A. Ertel. Authentic furniture, books, documents, family photographs and drawings by his daughter, and personal letters are on display here. The hall 'Voronezh Writers of the First Half of the 20th Century' tells the stories of the masters of the word who made a significant contribution to the development of national literature. The hall 'Soon the Tale Is Told' acquaints visitors with the features of Voronezh fairy-tale folklore of the 19th–20th centuries. A manuscript, editions of Russian folk tales by A. Afanasyev, and authentic personal belongings of storytellers A. Baryshnikova and A. Korolkova are exhibited here.
