Exhibition "Dedicated to the Defenders of the Fatherland..."
About exhibition
Throughout its centuries-old history, Russia has endured numerous wars and invasions. Russian warriors—true heroes and patriots willing to protect the homeland at the cost of their lives—stood up to defend the state's borders and independence. The exhibition shows the human side of war: its grandeur, heroism and tragedy. Visitors will see original documents and historical relics. Through the combat exploits of Anzhero‑Sudzhensk residents, the exhibition demonstrates the development of the Russian army in the 20th century and the continuity of military traditions, including through entire family dynasties. The display includes objects and documents from the First World War, the Civil War, the Great Patriotic War (World War II), and local wars and conflicts of the second half of the 20th century. In total, more than 200 personal stories of participants in various military events are presented. The exhibition is complemented by a multimedia guide on the "Artefact" platform.
