Exhibition "Foreign Art of the 16th–early 20th Centuries"
About exhibition
On the second floor of the mansion of merchant I. S. Repin a collection of Western European painting is exhibited — from the Renaissance to the early 20th century — represented by works of outstanding masters of the Italian, Dutch, Flemish, French and German schools, as well as decorative and applied arts. These include antique examples of Western European glass (Bohemia, Poland) and porcelain from major manufactories of Germany, France, England and Denmark; rare examples of Japanese porcelain of the 18th–early 19th centuries. Among the unique exhibits are the oldest items in the museum's collection: ceramic vessels and terracotta figurines from the 5th century BC to the 1st century AD.
