About exhibition
Krymsky District is a unique district of the krai in terms of the number and variety of archaeological monuments. The scale of archaeological research carried out is reflected in the "Archaeology" exhibition, which features paleontological and archaeological finds discovered in the district. The exhibition introduces the main stages in the development of the peoples who inhabited the Northwest Caucasus over more than five thousand years, from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages. Among the most interesting items are ancient ceramics; weapons — iron swords, spear and arrowheads; jewelry — bronze bracelets and temple rings, earrings, fibulae and mirrors; horse harness fittings; and coins.
