The exhibition is located in the center of the museum in the Main Hall and is part of the "Shikhransky Train" tour route. It presents household items and everyday objects of railway travelers from the turn of the 19th–20th centuries, as well as photographs and documents that tell about the early stages of the construction of Russian railways. The exhibition also recreates the atmosphere of a station from the turn of the 19th–20th centuries. Among the exhibits are a buffet counter with an antique samovar and a clerk's desk with a complaints book.
