Exhibition '20th Century. 1914–1945: From Great Upheavals to the Great Victory'
About exhibition
The exhibition presents the history of Russia through the prism of two world wars, three revolutions, mass repressions, and the breaking of centuries-old foundations, as well as how this period became an era of great hopes, enthusiasm, and labor feats — a time of outstanding achievements. The scale and intensity of the events that swept over Russia in the first half of the 20th century are unparalleled and exceptional: two world wars, three revolutions, the overthrow of age-old institutions, mass repressions, brutal social experiments... And yet it is also an era of great hopes, unprecedented enthusiasm, creative labor, and a time of remarkable discoveries and achievements in industry, science, education, literature, and the arts.
