The exhibition 'A Visit to the Tver Merchants' recreates the interior of a merchant's house from the late 19th century. Guests can see the entrance hall, study, parlor, ladies' and children's rooms, where a cozy domestic atmosphere is created by the displayed antique furniture, tableware, clothing, books, notebooks, toys and various everyday knickknacks. Visitors are presented with the diverse and colorful world of Tver's merchant class at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. Everyone will have the opportunity to learn who the merchants of the past were, how they lived and how they earned honor and respect.
