Exhibition "Visiting Nekrasov"
About exhibition
On the grounds of the Chudovskaya Luka estate there are two sites: the memorial house of N. A. Nekrasov and the building of the former N. A. Nekrasov Agricultural School. In the memorial house visitors can see the study of the great Russian poet, the bedroom, the room of his wife Zinaida Nikolaevna, the living room, the dining room and two guest rooms; they can view original items such as the poet's desk, a mirror, a candlestick, a kerosene lamp with a white lampshade, a briefcase, as well as 19th-century furniture and household objects. The quiet, cozy rooms evoke those distant days when the great Russian poet stayed here. In the building of the former N. A. Nekrasov Agricultural School visitors can see a reconstructed 19th-century classroom and an exhibition hall that hosts themed exhibitions for visitors of all ages. Also open to visitors is a new exhibition "N. A. Nekrasov and Russian Hunting," which displays hunting gear from the collections of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve.
