Exhibition "The Unique Nature of the Tuapse District"

About exhibition

One of the main treasures of the Tuapse District is its unique nature. The natural attractions include abundant mountain rivers, waterfalls, enchanting forests and, of course, the remarkable Black Sea. The exhibition of the Tuapse Historical and Local History Museum named after N.G. Poletaev introduces visitors to the diversity of fauna in the Tuapse District. The hall features inhabitants of the Black Sea: the European eel, the sea ruffe, the Black Sea shark, a calf of a white‑sided dolphin, mollusks and others. Visitors will also meet forest dwellers such as deer, bear, hare, wild boar and lynx, and learn about the characteristics of their habitats in the North Caucasus. The large collection of birds and reptiles will be appreciated by both adults and children.
