Exhibition of the Tula Museum of Fine Arts
About exhibition
The Tula Museum of Fine Arts was opened in 1919. Over the years it has experienced many events: evacuation to Siberia during the Great Patriotic War and the return to Tula after the war. Despite all difficulties, its main task remained unchanged — to preserve and expand the collection. The holdings include more than 23,000 works of Russian, contemporary and Western European art, enabling staff to carry out extensive research and cultural-educational activities. Visitors will encounter masterpieces by native painters and sculptors such as Ivan Shishkin, Valentin Serov, Ivan Aivazovsky, Mikhail Vrubel and Dmitry Stelletsky. Works by masters from Italy, the Netherlands, Flanders, France and Germany will also captivate visitors.
