In the exhibition dedicated to the history of the formation of Siberia from ancient times to the present, you will see complexes of historical-anthropological reconstructions illuminating Yermak's campaign into Siberia, Peter I's decree authorizing I. D. Bukhgolts's campaign, models of the Tarsky ostrog and Omsk fortresses, and unique items from collections of weapons, visual arts, archaeology, and ethnography. Particular attention is given to the mini-exhibition "Culture of the Indigenous Peoples of Siberia." It tells how Siberia became Russian and which peoples joined the Russian state in the 16th–18th centuries.
