About exhibition
In the museum's permanent exhibition "Russian Izba" a fragment of a traditional Russian peasant house is displayed with household items: a model of a Russian stove with a cat sleeping peacefully on it, cast-iron pots and ukhvat pot hooks, a table with a samovar, wooden benches, hand-woven rag rugs on the floor, and a cradle hanging from the ceiling decorated with embroidered towels and doilies. Interactive programs for children are held in the "Russian Izba": you can try ironing laundry using a rubel (wooden smoothing board) and a cast-iron flatiron, and learn how to use a spinning wheel and spindle. Older visitors are immersed here in the atmosphere of childhood and memories...
