Exhibition “The Nature of Udmurtia”
About exhibition
The exhibition showcases the features of natural landscapes, the diversity of wildlife from different parts of the republic, and the theme of human interaction with the environment. The display includes more than 1,000 items from the museum's collections that reveal the history of Udmurtia's flora and fauna from prehistoric times to the present day. Most of the exhibits have not previously been shown to the general public. Visitors will see a life-size replica of a woolly rhinoceros skeleton that once inhabited the region and disappeared 40–60 thousand years ago. The exhibit recreates a forest landscape and its characteristic inhabitants, allows visitors to follow the changing seasons, hear bird calls, and see rare residents of forests, fields, and water bodies. The exhibition is equipped with facilities for people with disabilities.
