Exhibition dedicated to the history of the Nikolaevskaya Sloboda
About exhibition
Visitors will learn about the history of the Nikolaevskaya Sloboda. The exhibition features original documents and photographs from the 18th century: a decree of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna initiating salt extraction, a photograph and a map of the Chumak Route, and a painting by artist A. Tokarev titled 'Chumak Route'. The history of industrial development in the Nikolaevskaya Sloboda began after the closure of the Chumak Route, which had been in operation for 100 years. Guests will learn about the history of the famous Pflaumer mill. The exhibition also displays a collection of irons, samovars, and household items.
