Exhibition at VDNKh Pavilion No. 28 "Beekeeping"
About exhibition
The history and development of beekeeping can be traced through interactive screens and carefully selected exhibits. Visitors will learn about the characteristics of a bee colony's life and discover how people obtain honey without harming the bees, where and how beekeeping products are used, and what role bees play in agriculture. The exhibition offers many interesting insights both about the bees themselves—their lives, friends and enemies—and about how people domesticated bees and how an apiary operates. It clearly shows which groups of insects are distinguished and how they are related to one another. Special attention is given to the Hymenoptera, which include honeybees. In the pavilion you can see not only bee hives of various models but also the dwellings of wild bees and the nests of wasps and hornets.
