About exhibition

The museum aims to immerse visitors in the world of historic Ural mining and metallurgical life. The exhibition shows how gold was mined in the past, where prospectors lived, what quarries and mine workings looked like, and illustrates the scale of manual labor in mining. Among the exhibits are a hand auger, a signal cannon, a pakhary (a plow‑like device) — a precursor to the modern dredge, the mouth of an adit, a mine hoist, a forge, a horse whim, a dugout, a carriage shed, and mining works' household items. All items are interactive; the mechanisms can be set in motion — pump water from a shaft, split a core sample, roll wheelbarrows, and handle the tools. Admission to the exhibition is free for children under 18, veterans, and people with disabilities.
