The exhibition project of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve and the Russian Military-Historical Society, "Museum of Yevgeny Preobrazhensky", dedicated to Soviet aviation during the Great Patriotic War, tells the story of pilots — natives of the Kirillovsky District, war participants, and designers of aircraft and aviation armaments. The exhibition is devoted to the life of the outstanding pilot who was born and raised in the Kirillov region — Yevgeny Preobrazhensky. The exhibition complexes recount his personality, family, native village Volokoslavinskoye in the Kirillovsky District, the main stages of his service, his path into aviation, his combat and state awards, and his post-war activities. The museum's halls house materials and exhibits that describe the bombing raids by the German air force on Moscow at the beginning of the war, and the planning and execution of the operation to carry out retaliatory bombing raids on Berlin from August to September 1941. The exhibition also features materials about natives of the Kirillovsky District and Vologda Oblast associated with aviation. Times are indicated in the local time zone of the venue.
