Exhibition of the Museum of Contemporary Military History
About exhibition
The Museum of Contemporary Military History was officially opened on May 7, 2025. It is dedicated to events in Russia's military history from the second half of the 20th century to the present. The museum was established on the basis of the Museum of Military Glory of Internationalist Soldiers, which was opened in Yevpatoria on May 9, 1988. The museum's exhibition is intended to preserve the historical memory of the country's military history events and of Yevpatorians — their participants. One section of the exhibition is devoted to Yevpatorian heroes — participants in the special military operation. The museum halls display documents, photographs, personal belongings, and awards of participants in local armed conflicts of the second half of the 20th century, including combat operations on the territory of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan (DRA), which were collected over three decades by Afghanistan veterans, as well as items donated by the families of Yevpatorians who died fulfilling their international duty in the DRA. In addition, the exhibition features materials donated by the families of Yevpatorians who died fulfilling their military duty during the special military operation. Organized groups of schoolchildren and students wishing to visit the Museum of Contemporary Military History must submit an application in advance and arrange the visiting time by calling the museum ticket office: +7 (36569) 3-12-80.
