Silver Age Museum Exhibition

About exhibition

On the first floor of the Silver Age Museum is the memorial study of Bryusov, reconstructed from photographs and the recollections of his contemporaries. It houses items that belonged to the poet: his library, an oak desk, a clock, a furniture suite upholstered in the 1910s, and paintings and drawings given to the poet by the artists Rerberg, Feofilaktov, Koiransky, Sapunov and Goncharova. On the second floor is a literary exhibition dedicated to all styles, currents and movements of the Silver Age. It reflects the names of the most prominent poets and writers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The display cases contain manuscripts and lifetime editions of writers' books with their autographs, collections, almanacs and journals issued by the publishers of that period. The exhibition material and its architectural and artistic design make it possible to feel the color and inner movement of the era.
