Exhibition of the "Nature of the Caspian" Museum
About exhibition
The museum's permanent exhibition consists of five sections reflecting natural-climatic zones, and three corners – a herbarium corner with medicinal plants, a corner with insects (butterflies and beetles), and a corner with various fossils (ammonites), minerals and an aquarium with fish. The first section houses the "Migratory Birds" exhibition. The second is the "Mountain Zone." The third section is the "Forest Zone." The panorama displays birds and animals of Dagestan's forest zone. The fourth section of the exhibition is the forest-steppe zone, which presents birds and animals of Dagestan's forest-steppe zone. The fifth section is a panorama of the Caspian Sea. One of the important objectives in designing the museum's exhibition was to acquaint visitors with the region's rich flora and fauna. The museum presents its exhibits in sections that reflect the natural-climatic zones of Southern Dagestan. The museum displays stuffed animals, birds and representatives of the aquatic world, among which are species listed in the Red Book.
