Exhibition of the Museum "Chambers of the Romanov Boyars"
About exhibition
The "Chambers of the Romanov Boyars" Museum is a branch of the State Historical Museum. The chambers are the only building that has survived from a large boyar estate. According to legend, the first tsar of the Romanov dynasty, Mikhail Fedorovich, was born in this estate. Visitors will see an architectural and historical monument dating from the 15th–17th centuries. It is one of the oldest secular buildings in Moscow. In the mid-19th century, by decree of Emperor Alexander II, one of Moscow's first museums opened in the chambers — the "House of the Romanov Boyars".
