The museum introduces visitors to the work of Tula artist Porfiry Krylov. Porfiry Krylov was a People’s Artist of the USSR, an honorary citizen of the city of Tula, a laureate of the Lenin and USSR State Prizes, and a full member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. He achieved outstanding success not only as part of the Kukryniksy collective but also in his individual work. The artist’s multifaceted talent is evident in painting, graphic art, and book illustration. These works form the core of the museum’s exhibition. The collection includes numerous landscapes created by Porfiry Krylov both on trips around the country and abroad. Each piece is unique in its atmosphere and sense of the world.
