Exhibition of the Nevskaya Zastava Museum
About exhibition
Visitors to the museum can view the following exhibitions: 'The House on Novo-Aleksandrovskaya' – the history of the residential building and the museum, which opened in 1967; 'Industry of Nevskaya Zastava' – life in the industrial outskirts of Saint Petersburg at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century; 'The Investigation Is Underway...' – an immersive exhibition-quest in which the visitor takes on the role of a gendarme and must identify the author of an anonymous pamphlet about the harsh working and living conditions of the working class at one of the Nevskaya Zastava factories in order to prevent worker unrest; 'The Legend of the Heroes' – details of the joint work of Vladimir Lenin and Vasily Shelgunov in the revolutionary underground of Nevskaya Zastava. The main part of the exhibition is the room where meetings of the local Marxist circle were held when Vasily Shelgunov was based here; 'Homes for the People' – a visual history of the construction of residential buildings in the Nevsky District from the 1920s to the 1980s.
