The Museum of Folk Toys, as a department of the City Museum, was established in 2011. It is based on the collection of folk toys by Nizhny Novgorod artists Natalia and Sergey Kvach. The exhibition is presented in sections: "Nizhny Novgorod Toy", "Russian Folk Toy", "Toys of Various Peoples", "Artist's Toys", "Toys of the Soviet Period". Visitors can not only see a wide variety of folk and artist-made toys made of clay, wood, straw, birch bark, bast, and fabric, but also visit a play area.
