Visitors to the Museum of Folk Art, located in one of the oldest (first half of the 19th century) and most beautiful monuments of wooden architecture in the Penza region, can learn about the history of the development of traditional Penza trades and crafts and about the history of the town estate. The exhibition halls display collections that reveal the rich palette of various genres of folk art. The exhibitions feature examples of Abashevo clay toys, ceramics, wickerwork, down shawls, straw dolls, embroidered pictures, carved wooden items, and root sculptures.
