Exhibition of the Musa Jalil Apartment Museum
About exhibition
The Musa Jalil apartment museum, where he lived from October 1940 until his mobilization into the Red Army in 1941. The materials carefully preserved by Amina Kutdusovna — Jalil’s wife — and his daughter Chulpan Museevna formed the basis for creating the poet-hero’s apartment museum. On February 15, 1983 the memorial apartment was opened to visitors; twelve years later the museum's area was expanded by the neighboring apartment. The apartment museum displays a memorial collection — furniture, books from his personal library, a mandolin, documents and photographs, an electronic version of his personal album and the Moabit Notebooks.
