About exhibition

In the memorial part of the museum (M. M. Zoshchenko's study) the entire room's furnishings and the writer's personal belongings have been preserved. The literary exhibition tells the story of the satirist's life and creative path. After the renovation, the exhibition was enriched with new unique photographs, documents, and objects discovered as a result of many years of research. Moving toward a contemporary understanding of the museum, staff introduced elements of interactive communication with visitors: multimedia, audiovisual, and interactive installations that draw guests into a dialogue with the writer's literature and the spirit of his time. Each of the seven display cases of the literary exhibition corresponds to its own fragrance, developed by a guild of perfumers – "Childhood", "The Bitterness of War", "Premonition of Love", "The Famous Writer", "Evacuation", "Before Sunrise", "The Last Years of Life". You will be able to listen to these perfumed compositions.
