About exhibition

The exhibition features more than a thousand unique items that tell the story of the long creative path and private life of the outstanding ballet artist Maya Plisetskaya. In addition to interiors, personal belongings and documents of the famous married couple, the display includes the ballerina’s stage costumes, her outfits by French couturier Pierre Cardin, sculptural and artistic works, as well as photographic portraits made by renowned masters. The jewel of the collection is an original lithograph by Marc Chagall bearing his signature, discovered in a wardrobe chest. Particularly valuable items in the exhibition include works by Fernand Léger, Anatoly Zverev, Artur Fonvizin, Vladimir Shakhmeister and other outstanding artists.
