Exhibition of the Kayum Nasyri Museum
About exhibition
The museum is dedicated to the eminent Tatar scholar Kayum Nasyri. The house is located in the Old Tatar Quarter and is a restored monument of 19th-century Tatar wooden architecture. The exhibition presents the life and work of the scholar-educator, revealing historical-biographical and memorial-domestic aspects, as well as the characteristics and stages of development of Tatar educational thought in general. The exhibition is based on printed, manuscript, and epistolary sources. These include K. Nasyri's works, a valuable collection of madrasa books and textbooks in Arabic and Tatar from the late 18th to the 20th centuries, memoirs of relatives and eyewitnesses, and photographs from private archives. On the grounds adjacent to the museum a picturesque garden was laid out, created using materials from Kayum Nasyri's book "Flowers and Herbs" about medicinal plants. The garden is called "Хәтер бакчасы" ("Memory Garden"). For inquiries: +7 (843) 292-76-94.
