Exhibition of the E. A. Boratynsky Museum
About exhibition
The E. A. Boratynsky Museum, a branch of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, is dedicated to the poet-philosopher Evgeny A. Boratynsky (1800–1844), his great-granddaughter — the writer and poet Olga Ilyina-Boratynskaya (1894–1991) — and to the everyday life of several generations of this family. The exhibition “Twilights and Dawns of the Boratynsky House” reflects the cultural and spiritual life of the city in the 19th and early 20th centuries through the fates and works of E. A. Boratynsky, his descendants, O. A. Ilyina-Boratynskaya, and the history of the estate. The family chronicle and the exhibition’s narrative structure correspond to notions of the Golden and Silver Ages of Russian culture.
