The museum's exhibition is a complex of halls of the Natural Department. Here you can learn more about White Lake. This natural site is one of the unique bodies of water in the Vologda Region and is among the ten largest lakes in Europe. The exhibition tells about the animal and plant world of the Belozersk area. The display amazes with an abundance of taxidermy sculptures, almost indistinguishable from real animals. Among the most unique are mounts of a brown bear, a moose, and the continent's largest rodent — the beaver. Also on display are mounts of the capercaillie, the great crested grebe, the white partridge, and others. Symbolically present in the exhibition are models of fish such as beluga, sterlet, and sturgeon (once rare species that entered the waters of White Lake). The museum also houses mounts of large pike and zander. All of this is truly worth seeing with your own eyes. The exhibition halls are equipped with modern interactive equipment. The unique section of the exhibition, "The Sovereign's Fish Yard", offers the opportunity to role-play fishing from two-person boats, learn to weave nets, and discover recipes of Belozersk cuisine. Entertaining interactive activities for children are available: assembling a dinosaur model, sand drawing, and more.
