Exhibition 'Motovilikha in the late 19th–early 20th centuries'
About exhibition
The exhibition tells the story of the founding of the copper-smelting plant, the emergence of Motovilikha, the development of Perm's cannon factories, and the pre-revolutionary life, households and leisure of the settlement's residents. In the exhibition halls, visitors will see a panorama of Krasnaya Square in Motovilikha and stroll along the old Bolshaya Street. A model of Abrashev's wooden building, as well as the interior of the Gomzikov family's house, demonstrate the typical dwelling of Motovilikha residents. It is at once a rural izba and an urban house furnished with fine furniture. Objects and documents from the museum's collections tell about the cultural life of Motovilikha residents, education and leisure. A separate theme of the exhibition — the 1905 Revolution — is revealed through official documents and the memoirs of direct participants. The main attraction of the museum is the diorama "December Events of 1905 in Motovilikha. The December Armed Uprising of 1905 in Motovilikha", on which artists E. I. Danilevsky and M. A. Ananyev worked. The diorama canvas is 25 meters long and 6 meters high. The exhibition was created based on materials from the collections of the Perm Local History Museum and the State Archive of Perm Krai.
