"The World of the Russian Izba" is an exhibition that acquaints visitors with the traditional Russian Siberian izba (peasant house) of the late 19th–early 20th century, its layout, decorative furnishings, and the traditions of the Russian people. The exhibition features unique items and collections from the late 19th–early 20th century: icons, distaff bottoms (pryalki-dontse), hand spindles (samopryalki), a weaving loom, samovars, coal irons, clay and cast-iron pots, a hand mill, butter churns and much more. A visit to the exhibition provides insight into the way of life of the Russian people and immerses visitors in the culture of the Russian peasantry — showing the interior arrangement of the izba, describing everyday routines and the labor activities of Russian peasants, painting a picture of the spiritual character of the Russian people, recounting customs, superstitions and rules of etiquette, and revealing the symbolism of everyday and festive ritual decorations.
