Honey Kolomenskoye Exhibition
About exhibition
The center of the complex is a reconstructed beekeeper's estate, which includes the owner's house, outbuildings and land plots with fruit trees and nectar-bearing herbs. The house exhibition, consisting of two halls ('History of Beekeeping' and 'Peasant's Izba'), presents the history of beekeeping and depicts the life of a peasant beekeeper of the late 19th to early 20th century, displaying his work tools and equipment. The apothecary garden in Kolomenskoye is an open-air natural museum: there are about 40 species of medicinal plants here. Among them are calendula and St John's wort, thyme, catmint, beggarticks, yarrow, dill and tansy.
