Exhibition "The Artist's Studio"
About exhibition
In the study-workshop of People's Artist of the USSR V. A. Igoshev an early-20th-century interior has been recreated, consisting of antique furniture, lighting fixtures, and items of decorative and applied art. The display also features a diverse collection of works assembled by the artist during numerous trips across Russia and abroad: Kasli cast-iron, Kazym birch-bark crafts, Soviet porcelain, and Pamir bells. Vladimir Alexandrovich Igoshev's active involvement in the museum began during its founding: advising on the choice of architectural style, revising architectural and design plans, selecting works for the exhibition, and donating part of his personal collection of graphics and decorative and applied arts to furnish the interiors of the study-workshop.
