Exhibition 'Sergey Grigorievich Chavain's Literary Study'
About exhibition
The National Library of Mari El has been named after the writer since 1982. The study is compositionally divided into three parts: literary, biographical, and a period domestic section. The literary section brings together the writer's works, literature about him, and bibliographic material. The period domestic environment immerses visitors in the 1930s, when the writer lived and worked. It includes a leather sofa, a writing desk, a bookcase, an inkwell, a typewriter, and other items. The interactive literary map 'Sergey Grigorievich Chavain (1888-1937): илыш корно' introduces significant places related to the writer's life and work. Key geographic sites are accompanied by QR codes linking to electronic publications. The literary study hosts guided tours, literary evenings, meetings, and other events. A virtual version of the literary study has been created on the library's website, which includes materials about the writer, interesting facts, reviews of his works, and more.
