Exhibition of the Lyantor Khanty Ethnographic Museum
About exhibition
The museum's exhibition consists of several halls: 'Stationary Dwelling', 'Traditional Activities', 'Wildlife', and 'Clothing'. In the 'Stationary Dwelling' hall you can see a Khanty dwelling, traditional household utensils, and everyday items. In the 'Traditional Activities' hall visitors will learn about the livelihoods of the Khanty people — reindeer herding, fishing, and hunting. In the 'Wildlife' hall visitors will learn about the remarkable nature of the Pim River basin, see unique animals and fish, and hear the voices of birds listed in the Red Data Book. The 'Clothing' hall showcases the traditional summer and winter clothing of the Khanty people.
