Exhibit of the cruiser 'Aurora'
About exhibition
The first-rank cruiser 'Aurora' was launched in 1900 and took part in the Russo-Japanese War and in World War I operations in the Baltic Sea. Aurora's crew actively participated in the revolutionary events of 1917. During the Great Patriotic War (World War II) the ship formed part of Leningrad's air defenses; since 1948 it has been permanently moored at the Petrogradskaya Embankment, opposite the Nakhimov Naval School. Today 'Aurora' is one of the few surviving pre‑revolutionary ships and is recognized as an object of federal cultural heritage.
