Exhibition "Mine Hall Complex"
About exhibition
In seven halls exhibits from the "Mining and Mine Equipment" collection are displayed. Its active assembly began in 1998. Today the collection comprises about 400 items, including miners' lamps from the late 19th century, pre-revolutionary hand tools, a coal-cutting machine, a drilling rig, an electric locomotive, a conveyor, a jackhammer, a loader, a drill, a mine fan, ore and personnel mine cars and much more. The "Mine" museum complex invites visitors to follow a miner's daily route: the shift office, the dispatcher's room, the lamp room, the records room, the changing room, the cage for descent into the shaft, a modern fully mechanized longwall and a tunnelling face. In addition, the museum provides detailed insight into how coal was mined at the beginning of the last century. The exhibition is rich in unique museum items that demonstrate the mechanization of the main tunnelling processes in the mine. Of particular interest is a full-scale mine drift assembled from original mining equipment and materials.
