The exhibition is dedicated to the life and work of the great artist Vasily Vereshchagin. Its core is formed by dozens of unique items from the collection of the Cherepovets Museum Association: original works by Vereshchagin, phototypes and photographs, personal belongings, weapons and uniforms, books and valuable documents. Several exhibition halls, telling the story of different stages of the artist's life (Turkestan, the Balkans, India, the Russian North, Japan), combine into an extraordinary story of the famous painter, soldier, traveler, writer and 'man of the world'.
