Exhibition "Carriage House"

On the grounds of the Vereshchagins' estate-museum complex several buildings have been preserved, including the carriage house, which was restored in 2016. It houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to street culture of the 19th–early 20th centuries. Visitors can see sledges, carts, wooden wheels, and household items such as irons, boxes and chests, as well as tools — all exhibits are authentic. The exhibition space features carved window trims (nalichniki) that remained after the demolition of an old house in the town, giving an impression of the town's lost wooden architecture. In addition to the permanent exhibition, temporary exhibitions by Cherepovets artists are organized in the Carriage House.
